& HR MANAGER

POSITION: Safety Direction & HR Manager
INDUSTRY: Design – Build / Construction Management / Structural Steel Erection
REPORTS TO: President / CEO

Job Description:

The Safety Director / HR Manager is responsible for the assurance of safe working conditions for employees of B.L. Spille Construction, and Building Systems Erectors, Inc.  This includes communication to all employees that everyone is responsible for safety in the company.  The Safety Director / HR Manager is in, charge of all hiring, training, either conducting the training or putting together the safety classes needed. 

Responsibilities not limited to: 
-    Handle all Employee Hiring   
-    Pre-Employment background checks and mandatory drug screening
-    OSHA, AISC, ASHE, E-Railsafe, FRA 214 Maintenance of Way Work compliance and Training
-    CPR
-    Implementing Current Safety Standards and Policy’s and Development of new Standards and Policy’s
-    Process Daily and Weekly Safety Reports and Audits
-    Maintain all current and new Safety Equipment on Jobsites
-    Be the liaison between all local, state and federal government agencies
-    Be the liaison between all Field Personnel and Executive Management

 

Experience:
-    Minimum 5 years; 10 years preferred

 

Education:
-    Bachelor’s Degree is Occupational Health & Safety

 

$60,000 – 70, 000 / yr

Office Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5pm
