B.L. Spille Awarded Major Contract with Canadian National Work Begins Immediately on New Locomotive Repair Facility in Memphis
ERLANGER, KY – B.L. Spille Construction, Inc. has been awarded the design/build contract to construct a multi-million dollar Locomotive Repair Facility for Illinois Central Railroad / Canadian National at Johnston Yard in Memphis, Tennessee.
“This contract was awarded to B.L. Spille, for our experience and knowledge for the utilization of the latest state of the art materials and technology,” said G. Anthony Huser Jr. Vice President. “We are ready to get work underway delivering the finished facility on time, on budget, and with creative, economical solutions while overcoming any challenges that may confront us.”
As the Design/Build Contractor, B.L. Spille will provide all architectural, engineering, project management services and valued engineering from inception to completion to bring the project in on time and within budget.
B.L. Spille has previously worked with Illinois Central Railroad / Canadian National, successfully overseeing construction of its Memphis Transload Facility and Intermodal Facility.
